A cozy small cafe located south of Eglinton and Bayview! All the coffees are well prepared! The Chai Dirty Latte has strong “Chai” flavour! This is a nice quiet cafe for a short break!
In a world of automation and non- human artificial connection, it’s so refreshing to find a place that is real. Quality drinks and home baked pastries prepared and presented with care and love. The welcoming smiles from the staff and the community feel from the customers keep me coming back day after day. After day…. Love this place!
Like a secret coffee shop… a bit further down from the Bayview retail grouping so might get missed. Found it very peaceful and the service was even better than coffee. Nothing over the top just quietly dignified and pleasant which pretty much calls the tone of the vibe. Felt authentic without cos playing cool.
This has become my favourite coffee shop in Toronto! From the moment you enter, you’re met with warmth, charm and character. From the delicious coffee to the inviting jazz music, this is the perfect place to work, to chat with friends and loved ones or pause to reflect. The latte is my favourite! Special shoutout to Kayo, Shanaya and Claire for being amazing baristas. You won’t be disappointed at Lit if you’re in the Bayview Leaside area.
Great staff, very friendly and work as a team to get orders done quickly and efficiently. LIT Bayview has a very cool vibe with a few patio seats and indoor seating, vaccine passports are required to sit indoors and LIT has the QR scanner to make the process go smoothly. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, was more latte like consistency but very delicious. It was my own fault for not asking it to be drier. My friend ordered a flat white and we both had a raspberry corn muffin bar. Shaped like a little a loaf bar about 3 bites which was both satisfying in amount and taste.
I really like the coffee and service at Lit. They make these egg bacon toast cups that I also really like but they are often sold out or not ready when I'm there :-( 2025 update : I’ve been here a couple of times this past year. This is no longer the same coffee shop I love. I bought a coffee and had to pay 75 cents for ice!
Great coffee, friendly staff. Probably the best cafe along this strip/in Leaside. Love spending time here on the weekends. Good amount of seating available too! They do have Wi-Fi if you want to do some work, although they don't have any power outlets (I guess to discourage squatting). 2025 Update: Coffee has fallen off and is just average now. Tastes more watered down. Got a latte and could barely taste the espresso. Oatmeal cookies are still my favourite though!
