Weird communication, said I'd get a call back, and my phone showed a few calls, but it did not ring and it was right beside me. Now, whenever I call back, I get hung up on before anyone answers.
Calling them for the last few months for a family doctor. They NEVER pickup. Today went there around 2:30 pm whereas it clearly says they’re open on Saturday till 5 pm. In this cold weather I went back and forth, kept knocking, wasted 45 min. If you guys don’t keep it open on Saturday, admit it, let others know and what the point of keeping the phone if you don’t pick up?
Leaside Health Centre is clean, well-organized, and never too crowded. The staff are polite and professional, making every visit smooth and stress-free. Dr. Gabriela Muir is an exceptional family doctor—kind, attentive, and always thorough with follow-ups. I’m truly grateful to have her and highly recommend this clinic.
Dr Ylanko is an amazing doctor who deserves all the stars that can be given. However the new management team is ridiculous. Whenever you call you’re sent to a call centre that will page the clinic for you. I’ve called twice now to cancel an appointment and no one has contacted me once. Get a human inside your clinic with access to the scheduling system to answer your phones. I’m confused what the front is being paid for if no one can answer the phone or bother to call me back to cancel my appointment.
Want to start off by saying Dr. Ageni-Yusuf is very nice! Best doctor I’ve ever had! But this my next statement is the reason it’s 3 stars… when I am there I barely see them pick up the phone for calls, but when I call to speak with someone I get this USELESS AI that doesn’t understand what I’m saying…. There was also an option to book a phone call appointment but that’s not an option anymore it seems, kinda irritates me I need to create an appointment just to ask a simple question
Overall I have been seeing my doctor here for years. Ive always called and SPOKE with someone over the phone. They seem to have ALL new staff especially at the reception. They do not seem to know what there doing. I called and was greeted by AI! I had a serious medical question and need, and this is not acceptable. The location has never been my favourite but my dr made it worth it. Now I go and I hate it. - One 'nurse' Sprayed febreeze in the hallway!! and ANY medical centre! is SCENT FREE!! They asked if I wanted a mask! This does not constitute a mask, but for someone to be let go! The compassion seems to be lost here now. I will likely keep my new dr. But thats still to be evaluated by this experience. Unless you're desperate for a dr. go ahead.
Dr. Muir is absolutely TERRIBLE! I asked for a couple of referrals. The first referral she sent was to the wrong type of doctor! The second referral I asked her to submit, AFTER FINDING THEM MYSELF, didn’t even send over all the required information that they ask for! The medical documents and what they need is literally posted on the website!!! This clinic always claims they “never got anything.” A letter from the referral clinic stating what info they need? Never got it. Got an xray done? Never got it. Bloodwork? Never got it. Your medical information will literally go missing here.
