Extremely poor and misleading customer service. I had an unacceptable interaction with a staff member named Chris that was both condescending and unnecessarily dismissive. From the outset, I clearly explained multiple times that I did not have my receipt as I had genuinely forgotten it. I also explicitly stated that the purchase should be in the system and that I was more than willing to provide ID and my credit card to verify the transaction. Despite this, Chris repeatedly asked whether I had my receipt—after I had already answered—while offering no alternatives or solutions. He consistently insisted that there was “nothing he could do” without a receipt, giving the clear impression that I had no options and effectively shutting down the conversation. This was not only frustrating, but misleading. As the interaction dragged on with no effort to help, I did become frustrated and raised my voice. Rather than acknowledging the situation he had created or attempting to de-escalate professionally, Chris responded by asking why I was raising my voice—again in a condescending and dismissive tone—which only escalated the situation further. What makes this especially unacceptable is that this was simply not true. He ultimately did look up my purchase in the system, printed a duplicate receipt, and had me complete a form to process the return—proving that there were procedures in place all along. These options should have been offered immediately instead of being withheld while I was spoken to in a dismissive and condescending manner. At one point, when I asked whether he wanted me to go back and retrieve the receipt, his response was, “Why did you even ask if you don’t want to go get it?” This was rude, unnecessary, and entirely unprofessional. Customer service should be solution-oriented, transparent, and respectful. Instead, I was met with misinformation, repetition, and an attitude that suggested I was wasting his time. This experience left me frustrated and questioning the training and professionalism of staff.
Looking for auracast capable TV for streaming to hearing aids. They had them but did not know they had them. Had to educate the sales staff on what LE Audio Bluetooth was and what auracast was.
Super helpful staff, great variety and great deals to take advantage of. I'm super happy with my new sound system! It's transformed my room for the better!
I had a great experience here today! The staff were really helpful, helped me understand my options and gave me a great price on a new tv. I definitely recommend checking this place out before ordering anything online.
For the second time in about 5 years I went to my local 2001 Audio Video location to purchase a Sonos sound bar and sub woofer. As usual the staff were very helpful ( Thanks Alwyn ) I had my purchase in hand and headed for home to enjoy. Sadly my TV is older then I thought , feeling defeated by technology I called the store looking for help. Alwyn to the rescue and adaptor later and we were up and running.
Go to for Yamaha receivers, Samsung TV. Competitive prices. Great selection for most consumers. Some high-end products are also available. Fast shipping.
Mitch at the Eglington store was awesome. Followed all protocols. Helpful, knowledgeable and personable. It's a lost art form but Mitch has it. 5 stars not enough!!! Thank you Mitch and you were right....night and day indeed.
