Glad I stopped by! The selection was surprisingly great, and I lucked out with a 50% off sale. Scored a medium long-sleeve tee for just five bucks, and there were tons of jackets to browse through. Only downside—no fitting rooms, so keep that in mind. Solid spot overall.
Sorry to see it has closed. Thankfully, a sign on the door said there will be a reopening at a new location (fingers crossed!) Hoping that we get an update on where/ when it will reopen It is a well-loved institution serving the community for so many years
Don't understand the negative reviews for this place, it is a great little thrift shop that you can find real gems if you look hard and take advantage of their sales.
Varied and affordable thrift store. You can find all types of clothing items-shoes, jackets, fancy dresses, etc. Like alreasy said, it's on the affordable end, the max price I saw was $22, but avg price is like half. There's ample selection material. The items are organized for the most part, however I would still reccommend looking through sections you wouldnt navigate through usually as mixups happen-ironically I found some nice dresses in the male section. Staff is friendly and place is clean for the most part but air is a bit stiffy
I once snagged an awesome danier leather jacket they had hanging outside... and just last day I bought a set of dickons Christmas village houses and figurines.... the Asian lady I think Tina is her name is a riot. $20 for the lot I'd say is very reasonable. I haven't ventured too far in cause I suffer w anxiety and claustrophobia so for this reason I keep to the very front... but if you have the time and mental head space I think you could snag some awesome stuff. I look at their display everyday ... and they once had a lulu lemon purse ... which I ran home to grab my wallet to buy ... got back it was gone. You gotta be quick! Store is run by a hypocritical Jesus zealot who cares more about his own pseudo-faith and greed than actual fairness and goodness. This is not a "true" thrift store where you can negotiate prices or get a reduced price for getting several articles together. The tag is the firm price, final sale, as-is, no flexibility. They know what people are after and if they see something that "seems" to be valuable to them they won't hesitate to put an outrageous price on it. This includes "as-is" electronics. The owner may preach Bible verses and the goodness of Jesus when really he's an anxious nut who is trying to nickel and dime everything to stay afloat/stay above others. He will then tell you his prices are fairer than other thrift stores like Value Village. That in itself is a dishonest and unfair statement, and both VV and this thrift store have very much increased their prices in the recent years due to the higher retro electronic sales. The fact that he's resisting negotiations or feedback from customers on the prices shows how greedy and self-serving he is. I gave 2 stars because the store does have good articles at times if you can get them at the right price without having to deal with the owner.
Stretch Thrift comes across as some type of charity as it has a “donation bin chute” on the front of the store... but it is not. I made the mistake of thinking I was giving some things for donation only to be greeting (sarcasm) by a disheveled Asian woman who was less than gracious as I gave my items to her, I was having second thoughts my things were out of my hands and behind her counter. I realize it was partially my own fault for not checking, however, I felt deceived by the owner greedy. I have no idea what the merchandise/selection is like but the store looks like a second hand, second hand store if that’s even possible. I was NOT impressed.
