I passed by Oak Park Deli almost daily but never tried it until earlier this month and I’m so glad I finally did! I had the roast beef melt sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. I went back the following week for the same sandwich again, and next up will be the lasagna, which I’ve been eyeing. Excellent customer service, and I love being able to support a local business. Highly recommend!
From the questions Google asked, there send to be an impression this is a suit down restaurant. That's wrong. It's also different from what you might expect of a deli. There are no counters full of cold cuts and cheeses. It's more food to order and catering. Yesterday was my first time visiting. I'll make sure to take photos next time I'm there. It strikes me as a great place. I met Arthur, the owner, and spoke with him about food for the Family Shed events. He was perusing fruit trays for a children's camp. Arthur is a great guy. He cares about what he makes and the people who eat his food. The place is clean. His staff is friendly. I'll report back about the food after my first event on 6 Sept.
Worst experience ever. So the first time I went, the poutine was pretty good, I ordered a large one to share with my friend around in december before the winter break. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Second time I went? Different story. it was alright not as good but, on my way home eating it, i started to feel slightly ill, and around 5:00 clock my stomach started hurting really bad, Thank god I had my phone at the time because my parents went to my sisters concert at Secord Elementary School. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After they left around 15 - 30 minutes later, I felt like throwing up. Long story short: I vomited 6 times in under 12 hours. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEVER going here again, the service wasnt that bad, the food gave me food poisoning and I couldnt eat at all but i somehow recovered the next day but still didnt have a good appeitite. Worst place ever ngl.
Have had great experiences here- however today I was really put off by how the owner (I presume) was speaking to his kitchen staff. He was rude and belittling to her; spent the entire time speaking down to her while there were 4 other customers waiting for their food. It was very uncomfortable to say the least. Would honestly think twice about supporting next time based on that experience alone….
Used to come here for lunch sometimes since this was only 5-10 min away from DA Morrison Middle School, and the pizza was delicious and had a unique flavour! One slice at that time was $3.00 and was big enough to be split in two! It seems to be run by a very nice Greek family and I'm glad it is still going!
Went because of reviews. Nothing special, service is good, food is avarage, I got smoked meat sandwich, with barely any meat. And although on the menu it's 7.50 I paid 11 for some reason.
